PRF Injections

What Is PRF?

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a concentrated form of your own blood plasma, rich in platelets. These platelets contain natural healing elements like growth factors, cytokines, and proteins that support the repair of soft tissue and bone.

How It Works:

The quick creation of new tissue accelerates your healing process. However, your provider may urge you to avoid intense activity or exercise throughout the healing phase.

How PRF Helps Your Body Heal

PRF helps your body heal faster by stimulating new tissue growth. For best results, our provider may recommend avoiding intense activity or exercise during the healing phase.

How we use PRF injections at CARE Esthetics

We use PRF injections to help you look and feel younger without surgery!  PRF injections for the face may help damaged, and wrinkled skin look better on its own. In addition, PRF may improve the benefits of other aesthetic treatments, such as facial fillers and prolong your results.

A small blood sample is taken and processed to separate and concentrate the platelets and growth factors. This nutrient-rich PRF is then applied to the skin or injected, depending on your treatment.

PRF can be used for:

The powerful growth factors in your plasma help boost healing, repair damaged tissue, and encourage new cell growth—reducing signs of aging and supporting faster recovery.

Microneedling with PRF (Vampire Facial)

Also known as the “Vampire Facial,” this treatment combines microneedling with PRF to stimulate your skin’s natural healing. Tiny micro-channels are created in the skin, allowing powerful growth factors from your PRF to penetrate deeply.

The result?

Your skin looks smoother, firmer, and more radiant—naturally.

PRF and Bio-Fillers for the Face

Facial fillers are commonly used to restore volume and smooth out wrinkles. A natural alternative to chemical fillers is using your own plasma to create bio-fillers.

When injected, these plasma-based fillers give your skin a smoother, more youthful appearance. While natural gel fillers typically last 3 to 6 months, combining them with PRF injections can enhance and extend your results.

PRF Injections Can Be Used for Hair Loss!

Recent research shows that PRF therapy can be an effective solution for hair growth. It’s been shown to improve hair count, increase thickness, and support the growth phase of the hair cycle.

At CARE Esthetics, we use advanced PRF hair restoration treatments to help you achieve fuller, healthier hair—naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it hurt?

Your PRF injections have minimal discomfort. When the platelets are injected, it is not possible to have allergic reactions or sensitives to your own blood. Furthermore, numbing creams and local anesthetics are utilized to make you extra comfortable.

What are the risks?

Because your body recognizes its own platelets, side effects are usually minor and are caused by the injections. Bruising, or swelling may occur in rare cases.

How much does it cost?

During your appointment, you and your provider will talk about the cost of your therapy. Each patient's fee may vary depending on their treatment requirements and the number of sessions required to attain optimal results.

Does my insurance cover it?

Even though PRF injections are deemed medicinal rather than esthetic, most health insurance carriers do not cover PRF injections.

Dr. Amparo David

Philosophy

As a holistic dentist, Dr. David believes strongly in using treatments to help facilitate the body’s ability to heal itself wherever possible. Many of the techniques and technologies being used at Care Esthetics of Bolton hold true to this philosophy.

Over the past two decades, Dr. David’s patients have sought her cosmetic expertise to improve their smiles and she has worked with her patients to produce stunning results (link to smile gallery). Frequently, upon successful completion of a large cosmetic case, many of her patients wanted to rejuvenate the rest of their face to match their new smile and would ask her to recommend skin rejuvenation treatments for their face. Care Esthetics of Bolton was founded to fulfill this need!

Facial Aesthetics Education and Training

Dr. David has focused her attention on incorporating wrinkle relaxers into the practice. Wrinkle relaxers are cosmetic treatments that reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These treatments typically involve the injection of botulinum toxin type A, such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin. These treatments block nerve signals to the targeted muscles, preventing muscle contractions that cause wrinkles. This leads to a smoother and more youthful appearance. She received her training from the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics in Dermal fillers and Botox.

With all of the facial aesthetics treatments incorporated into the practice, Dr. David ensures that she knows exactly what her patients are feeling by undergoing the same treatment herself!

Dental Aesthetics Education and Training

Dr. David is a graduate of both the prestigious Dawson Center for Aesthetics and the Spear Institute of Advanced Dental Education, where she has participated as a member of the faculty and spends several weeks a year working with dentists from around the country. She has a specific interest in changing lives through her thorough understanding of cosmetic dentistry and works with many patients to provide them with the smile they have always wanted. Dr. David continues to serve as an advisor to other local dentists on specific cosmetic cases and receives referrals from colleagues. Additionally, she participates in several local study groups with colleagues to collectively share ideas and approaches to challenging cases.

Some aesthetic cases do not need to be sent to the lab and can be done the same day with one of the two Cerec machines we have in the practice. Since Dr. David deploys this technology in her office, she ensures that she and her team provide the best in clinical excellence through CDOCs, where she interacts with like-minded dentists from around the country to discuss techniques in digital dentistry. She and her staff continue to participate in formal Cerec hands-on training to ensure the best outcomes for their patients.
